COVID-19

Dear Gateway Family:

 

After over a month of office closure due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Gateway Medical Group of San Diego, Inc. is prepared to safely reopen its doors. Your Gateway team had been closely monitoring the evolving situation and worked diligently to make both the National City and Chula Vista clinics safe environments for its patients, the community, and its employees. Gateway offices will officially re-open Monday, February 01, 2021

In order to make this a safe and successful transition, Gateway will reopen in phases and progress depending on the situation. The first phase will include the following adjustments:
 

  • In-office appointments for Physicals Exams and General Health Maintenance.

  • Sick visits and all other issues will continue to be addressed through the popular Telemedicine option via Video or Telephone. The Follow My Health messaging portal continues to be an alternative option for less complicated issues.

  • In-office appointments will be offered once per hour per provider to limit crowding and contact between patients, and to allow thorough room and instrument cleaning between patients. 

  • All providers and staff will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face masks, gloves, and gowns.

  • All patients will be prescreened and have their temperature taken at the door prior to entry. 

  • All patients will be required to wear face masks and maintain physical distancing.

The health of you, our patients, and our community, is of the utmost importance to us, and we thank you for your patience during this very trying and confusing time. We strongly encourage the continued public use of face masks, physical distancing, and limitation of contacts as much as possible.
